There may be a longing deep inside your spirit for more. Something bigger. Something greater. Something beyond your current self. That something is the Kingdom of God.
It's more valuable than the greatest hidden treasure (Matthew 13:44). It's bigger than we can conceive- made up of all of the followers of Jesus before us, after us, and around the world during our present time (Acts 2:39). It's greater than ourselves in that it pushes us to serve and love others (James 1:27). And it does that in a way that goes beyond what we think we're capable of, because He is there with us (Philippians 4:13).
First Steps is our four-step program at The Bridge to help you accomplish all of that and more. With many ministries serving our community, there is a place for you. If you love teaching the Word of God to children, there are opportunities in our Sunday School and Bible Quizzing programs. If you love meeting new people, being a parking lot attendant or greeter or hostess would be perfect for you. If you love mixing sound and burning CDs (and whatever else technology brings Or way), our media team is your place.
Regardless of your fit, your personality, or your preferences, there is a place for you to fit into your family and serve your community. Come home and find out just how special and rewarding it is to serve those around you. Step in and find something greater than yourself.
WHO WE ARE
Sure, we’ve been loving God and Breaux Bridge for nearly 100 years, but we’re more than that. We’ve got a present and a future - one that includes you! In Step One you’ll learn about all three: where we’ve been, where we are, and where God has us going. We hope you’ll join us on the journey!

You’ve been around your whole life, but do you really know who you are? In Step Two you’ll dive in and discover how you’ve been uniquely created by God to find your perfect fit in life and ministry.
WHAT DO WE DO?
We’re teachers and greeters. We’re people who like to cook and clean. We’re builders and creators. We’re singers and gardeners. We’re all these and so much more. In Step Three you’ll be able to find your place among the many ministries that help The Bridge to love our community.
WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE?
You’ve learned about us. You’ve learned about you. You’ve learned about what we do. Now it’s time to put them all together and get you plugged in! In Step Four you’ll connect, get involved, and serve your community through the love of Christ.
